I miss the operating room. I miss the patients. I miss the amazing nurses, techs, CRNAs and support staff. I miss the solitude of the OR and the simplicity of (in the words of a surgery mentor), "connect tab A into slot B". The most direct and simple the better. And most of all, I miss the outcomes...the people who were really helped by the simple intervention called surgery. Simple, right?
